Admitted to practice law in California in 1991, Jim Treadwell has litigated hundreds of cases, and tried to verdict and judgment over 40 jury and non-jury cases in both State and Federal Courts.  Jim’s broad range of litigation matters includes real property, title, title insurance, easement, escrow and probate, representing owners of real property, commercial and private lenders, trusts, estates, escrow companies, title companies and title insurance companies.

His extensive experience in 30 years of the practice of law also includes all aspects of appeals in the Courts of Appeal of the State of California, the Supreme Court of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Jim Treadwell has been named a Super Lawyer for 2022, 2023, and 2024.  He is the Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Title Insurance Sub-Section and a member of the LACBA Real Property Section Executive Committee.  He also speaks regularly at seminars on real estate, title, probate and escrow litigation.
